A friend of mine believes that there are no modern day miracles. He believes that if there is an event that is miraculous, it did not come from God. I find this hard to believe.

What do you guys think?

i guess miracles happen every day in our very lives but we only choose not to appreciate them as miracles lik sleeping at night and not knowing what was happening in our physical life within that 12 hours of sleep. everything, totally shutdown as if we were dead but suddenly we are triggered inside to press the switch on button automaticatically(waykey, waykey) as we woke up from our 8, 7, or 12 hours of shutdown(sleep).

another miracle would be eating process. i don't know what breaks down and separates used and no use stuffs in food that i eat but alas i am in the loo to do a little bit of dumping. this is a miracle itself coz the good stuffs in the food that i eat are used by the body. the human machine unidentified as miraculous.

there's is alot and i can go on until i die and the miracle will continue but the best one of all is that all my sins has been crucified with CHRIST and i am washed in the blood of the LAMB of GOD. this one is a great one! for we are not bought with corruptible things like silver and gold but with the precious, powerful, eternal, lovely, nice, awesome, maagnificent blood of the SON of GOD, JESUS CHRIST hmself. wow! ths is a miracle. thank you JESUS! thank you!

Miracles have always been such an important part of our history as God's people! Jesus made lots of miracles while he was on earth and still does today! I heard a pastor once saying that maybe the fact that we as a society are becoming every time more independent we don't seek God's help as much as we should and miracles are not seen as often (because we usually just pray for a miracle as our last resource).
There is a very good book about Miracles by C.S Lewis that I would encourage you to read, its called The Grand Miracle and goes in depth on the importance of faith, prayer and miracles! I really really recommend it!

You can find the book here:
The Grand Miracle - ChristianBookstore.Net

Hope this helps!

it depends on your idea of what a miracle means. nonetheless, i quite believe that miracles still happen. because i see them all around.
